Michael Zapata

Michael Zapata is founder and general partner of Sententia Capital Management. He received his B.S. from Texas A&M University and was commissioned as a Naval Officer in May of 2001. Throughout his time in the Navy, Michael served as a Navy SEAL officer and deployed seven times during the Global War on Terrorism. Following his last command at the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Michael transitioned out of the military to attend Columbia Business School and has a MBA from the Heilbrunn Center for Graham and Dodd Investing.


Steven Halper

Steve Halper serves as Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, he focused on healthcare information technology, managed care and pharmaceutical service industries at several major firms and was Managing Director and Senior Analyst at FBR Capital Markets, Lazard Capital Markets, Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Crédit Suisse AG, and Thomas Weisel Partners Equity Research. Mr. Halper has an MBA in Finance from Fordham University and a BS in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton.



Russell Kamp

Russell Kamp is Managing Partner of Kamp Consulting Solutions, an asset / liability consulting firm serving the plan sponsor (private, public and union), the endowment and foundation communities and high net-worth families. Prior to founding KCS, Russ was Director of Asset Management for Two Sigma Investments where he helped launch a long-only business, and spent 16 years with Invesco and Chancellor Capital Management, finally as Global Partner and Global CEO for Invesco’s $30+ billion Quantitative Strategies Group, a quantitatively-oriented equity and global macro group. Mr. Kamp earned a BA in Business from Fordham University’s College of Business Administration.



Charles Rose

Charles Rose is founder and Director of Research of Cruiser Capital LLC – a distressed long/short equity hedge fund. His work history includes time as a chemical process engineer for the ExxonMobil Corporation, a research equity analyst/investment banker at Oppenheimer & CO., Inc, time as a Hedge Fund Manager at Omega Advisors, later followed by time as Hedge Fund Manager for Bentley Capital Markets, and Ardsley Partners. Mr. Rose earned a BS and MS in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business. 


Noah Snyder

Noah Snyder is Senior Partner at Incline Global Management LLC, a global long/short hedge fund. The firm is active in opportunistic credit strategy and primarily provides its services to pooled investment vehicles. Mr. Snyder joined Incline Global after working at Halcyon Capital Management, and several years of fundamental equity analysis experience, including independently managing equity portfolios for high net worth individuals and as an Investment Analyst for funds. Mr. Snyder earned a BS from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a MBA from Columbia Business School's Value Investing Program, and teaches Value Investing at Columbia. 



Paul Johnson

Professor Johnson runs Nicusa Investment Advisors, an advisory firm focused on helping CEOs and Boards of Directors deal with strategy, capital allocation, shareholder value creation, and corporate governance, and is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School and Fordham University.

Johnson is co-author of the The Gorilla Game, Picking Winners in High Technology, and is also co-author with Paul Sonkin of Pitch the Perfect Investment, The Essential Guide to Winning on Wall Street, scheduled to be published in early 2017. 



Preston Pysh

Preston Pysh is the founder of BuffettsBooks.com and currently hosts The Investor's Podcast. Preston's videos on financial investing have been viewed by millions of people around the world. He takes great pleasure in taking complex ideas and making them accessable. Preston is a graduate of West Point with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is the founder of the Pylon Holding Company.

Preston is the author of Warren Buffett's Three Favorite Books, The Warren Buffett Accounting Book, The 100 Page Summary of The Intelligent Investor, The 100 Page Summary of Security Analysis, and The Diary of a West Point Cadet.




Paul Sonkin

Paul Sonkin is a portfolio manager at GAMCO Investors/Gabelli Funds, and is co-Portfolio Manager of the TETON Westwood Mighty Mites Fund, a value fund which primarily invests in micro-cap equity securities.  He has over 20 years of experience researching small, micro and nanocap companies. He was also the portfolio manager of The Hummingbird Value Fund and the Tarsier Nanocap Value Fund and an analyst and portfolio manager at Royce & Associates, Inc. He is an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School where he teaches courses on security analysis and value investing, and co-authored the book, Value Investing: From Graham to Buffett and Beyond, with Bruce Greenwald. Mr. Sonkin holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from Adelphi University.
